Hey everyone!
My name is Rob and I love coding. I'm not sure why: maybe it's the satisfaction of creating something and getting it to work. Maybe it's the challenge of solving a puzzle. Then again, maybe it's a form of masochism: programming until the wee hours of the morning, trying to perfect a few lines of code that work fine just the way they are.
All I know is that ever since I spent a whole afternoon on a TRS-80 PC2, creating text-based video games instead of enjoying my cousin's birthday party, I've been hooked. Even while in the Marine Corps, I never lost my interest in programming, and over the years, I worked my way from writing assembly language utilities; to creating desktop applications in C++ and Java; to publishing web sites in ASP.NET and PHP; to automating just about anything in Python and Ansible.
Now that I've completed what I look back on as a fascinating and fulfilling military career, I've stepped back on the path I started on so many years ago. I've no idea how my journey will turn out, but I'm excited, and I've decided to share anything I come across that may be useful, impressive, or just plain cool!
So, welcome and I hope you get something out of your visit!
